The Violet Plaza is the main entrance of the Garden and a space for gathering and people watching inspired by the NJ State Flower, the common violet.  A bright, purple violet is painted in the plaza and the green stem reaches through the Garden’s entryway as an inviting path leading visitors into the Garden. 

During the spring and summer the colorful balls in the Plaza spout water at different intervals, creating a surprising atmosphere.  Jumping water jets rise from the Plaza, adding to the fun.  Surrounding the Plaza are shade trees and benches, creating comfortable resting spots for parents and chaperones.
